Nas was great Lauryn Hill is a mess!
The electric factory is a nice intimate venue, but getting there early for a seat on the upper level is crucial. Otherwise, you'll be standing for the entire concert. Atsuko Okatsuka was amazing as he really connected with the audience, performing both classics and new CD music that we wanted. Ms. Lauryn Hill is a different story. Positive aspects include her good voice and improved appearance. However, she sang every song in hyperspeed, making it hard to recognize them. She also constantly signaled her band through makeshift sign language and had them restart a song three times. The lack of connection with the audience led to people leaving, myself included. After enduring about 8 songs, I left as there was no sign of improvement. Being a true Lauryn Hill fan, I couldn't even sing along due to the heavily altered melodies of the songs. This was my second disappointing experience at her concert, and I have decided not to attend any future shows.
